Give our future business owners a ‘SMART START!’
The African American Chamber is conducting a Back to School SMART START campaign to support Cincinnati Preschool Promise preschoolers who are not part of the Cincinnati Public Schools. The goal is to create 1,000 FREE school supplies back packs for 3-, 4- and 5- year old preschool age children attending Cincinnati Preschool Promise Community Providers.
SMART START is a program designed to give young learners a ‘smart start’ by providing educational materials for them to use outside of their preschool classrooms. The campaign runs for two weeks, beginning Friday, August 7.
Chamber members can help sponsor preschoolers by providing needed school supplies here or a contribution toward purchasing additional items.
School supplies can be dropped off at the African American Chamber, 2303 Gilbert Avenue in Walnut Hills on the following days and times: Fridays, August 7 and 14 from 10 AM until 1 PM, and Mondays, August 10 and 17 from 3 PM until 6 PM and on Wednesday, August 19 from 10 AM until 1 PM. Members can also make an appointment to drop off supplies by calling Alex Thomas at 513-475-7150.
The school supplies will be packaged into back packs for the preschoolers and distributed to students through Cincinnati Preschool Promise Providers in their classrooms.
