The event will be held from 6pm-9pm at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center. Nielsen will have the Sr. VP of Government Relations, Don Lowery, to deliver the presentation as we'll discuss the buying behaviors, attiitudes and future trends of the African-American consumer, using the world-class services and analytics of Nielsen.

Mobile: African-Americans use more than double the amount of mobile phone voice minutes compared to Whites—1,298 minutes a month vs. 606.
Consumer: African-Americans may spend less on each shopping trip, but they make the most trips—about 167—annually of any other group.
Online: During July 2011, there were 23.9 million active African-American internet users.
